The Rescue Needs a New Home

UPDATE, 5/18: We’re down to two weeks before we have to find a new home. We have a couple of places that may work, but we need monthly sponsors to ensure we can pay rent and other monthly expenses we will now incur. If you’d like to become a monthly sponsor, you can donate via PayPal here on our website and be sure to check the small box where it says “Make This Recurring (Monthly)”. We are very thankful to those of you that have made donations on our fundraising site on Generosity. If you prefer a one time donation we will always welcome that as well. We really hope we can continue to rescue cats and kittens.

Since our beginning more than 6 years ago, Forever Home Cat Rescue has operated out of a vet’s office in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. We have been fortunate to never have to pay rent, utilities or insurance.

We were recently informed the veterinarian practice is being sold and we have to vacate the premises by June 1st, 2016.

In 2015, we found homes for close to 600 cats & kittens. We save cats and kittens from animal shelters all over Southern California, as well as those that have been abandoned or injured. Our options are to either shut down the rescue or find a new home. Shutting down is an option we do not want to consider.

In order to sustain the rescue, we will have to pay rent, utilities, and other regular fees we’re not used to paying. As one of the larger rescues in south Orange County, we want to continue to rescue abused, neglected and abandoned animals but we can’t do it without your help. Forever Home Cat Rescue operates solely on donations from caring people like you. We are looking for a facility in the Lake Forest, Foothill Ranch or Rancho Santa Margarita area. If you have space at your business, or know of a space that may be available to us, please email us at We need a facility to board the cats before they go into one of our three adoption centers in local Petsmart stores.

If you’d like to become a monthly sponsor, which is what we desperately need, or make a one time donation, you can make a donation using PayPal. You will also find our mailing address if you would prefer to send a donation.

We have started a fundraising campaign on Generosity by Idiegogo, a socially conscious fundraising platform with a goal of raising $15,000. You can visit our site at If you are unable to make a financial donation you can still help us toward reaching our goal by sharing our story and the link to our Generosity page on your own Facebook page, Instagram or Twitter. And also by sharing our story with all your cat loving friends, family and coworkers.

Please help us continue our mission of saving cats & kittens in the Southern California area. We sincerely thank you .
